After Tuesday's decline, the leading indexes at the New York Stock Exchange partially recovered on Wednesday.
The broad S&P 500 index rose 0.5 percent, the Dow Jones industrial index increased 0.8 percent, while the technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index went up 0.3 percent.
Major bank Morgan Stanley surged 6.5 percent after the bank presented a stronger interim report than analysts had expected.
Airline United Airlines also presented stronger figures than expected. The stock rose 12.4 percent.
On Tuesday, the report from Dutch semiconductor company ASML was released. It was a disappointment and created renewed concern among investors for both the semiconductor industry and AI.
Semiconductor giant Nvidia plummeted 4.5 percent on Tuesday but partially recovered on Wednesday. The stock closed 3.1 percent up.
