Swedish star defender Rasmus Andersson ensured that Calgary came back and turned the match against last year's finalist Edmonton to a 4–1 victory away. Andersson's solo raid halfway through the match meant that Calgary equalized Edmonton's lead and then pulled away.
Andersson wrestled the puck at the midfield line and then snaked his way forward and around opposing players before finishing in front of Edmonton's goalkeeper Stuart Skinner with a shot into the net.
Andersson also contributed two assists. Calgary now has three wins in three matches.
