The independent Arenaskolan in Örebro is closing for the autumn term this year. The Supreme Administrative Court will not review the Administrative Court's decision, which means that the elementary school's permit is revoked, reports P4 Örebro.
Two independent upper secondary schools, one in Stockholm and one in Gothenburg, will also have their permits revoked. Their owner, Edinit, will not have the Administrative Court's decision reviewed in the highest instance either.
Last year, the School Inspectorate decided to revoke the permits for Arenaskolan's owner, Humanus Jobb Syd, and for Edinit AB. The reason for Arenaskolan was that a person previously deemed unsuitable by the Security Police had been active at the school, and the School Inspectorate saw a risk of students being exposed to radicalization.
In Edinit's case, it was also about the owner and management allowing staff previously deemed unsuitable.
The Administrative Court overturned the School Inspectorate's decision, but the Administrative Court of Appeal upheld the School Inspectorate's decision. And since the Supreme Administrative Court does not grant leave to appeal, the Administrative Court of Appeal's decision stands.
