The publication of proposals for Sweden's new electricity areas is being postponed. The recommendations that were supposed to be presented on January 27 will now be published later in the spring, writes Svenska kraftnät in a press release.
The delay is connected to a dialogue with the EU Commission about the scope of the electricity area review, according to Svenska kraftnät.
The current division of Sweden into different electricity areas took place in 2011 but has been strongly questioned in recent years as price differences between northern and southern Sweden have skyrocketed.
