The police were alerted on Wednesday morning by several people who saw a man with a weapon-like object in Sala Backe in Uppsala.
Several police patrols went to the scene and quickly found a person who matched the description given by the callers.
When the man was searched, it turned out that he indeed had a weapon. However, upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a toy, a so-called cap gun.
The man, who is in his 40s, is not suspected of any crime but was still taken into custody according to the law on the custody of intoxicated persons, the police write on their website.
