The school has previously described the event as a "serious incident" on its website:

"Two students were stabbed and have been taken to hospital for care. The extent of the injuries is unclear. The incident occurred in the school's premises".

The whole thing is an isolated incident, says a principal at the school to TT.

According to the principal, the incident occurred just before lunch on Thursday.

The police were quickly on the scene and have also spoken to witnesses, says the principal.

Gross assault

The police's press spokesperson Evelina Åström says to TT that they were alerted to the school due to a fight.

Just before 12 o'clock, we were alerted to a school due to a fight. When we arrive, we find two injured people who have been taken to hospital by ambulance.

The incident is classified as gross assault.

We have cordoned off the area to handle potential evidence, searching for clues and conducting interviews. So far, no one has been arrested, but we are looking for suspects in the case.

"No threat"

Are you looking for one or several suspects?

I have no idea about that and I have no idea how it happened. That's what we're trying to figure out, says Åström.

All activities were cancelled for the day and lessons will resume on Friday, the school writes.

As said, there is no threat to the school, but this was an isolated, very sad incident. We have student health services on site, we will have occupational health services on site. So the school will be open as usual tomorrow, according to plan, says the principal to TT.
