The arrest attempt began at a quarter to ten on Wednesday evening in central Arvika. After the driver failed to comply with the police's arrest attempt, they were forced off the road.
Both police officers sustained some injuries in connection with this intervention, and one of them was taken to hospital. The driver of the stopped car was also taken to hospital, but the injuries are not life-threatening for any of them, says police spokesperson Lars Hedelin to TT.
The car chase lasted for about seven minutes, according to the police.
It was a controlled pursuit until they found a suitable place to stop the car, and in connection with that, the cars collided.
The person is suspected of drug-related driving offenses and gross negligent driving.
