A 55-year-old man was injured after being hit by a train at Heby station outside Uppsala. He was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter, according to the police on their website.
The alarm came in to the police at 11.17 on Thursday.
The man is seriously injured, according to Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala.
There was a stop in train traffic on the stretch after the accident. By the afternoon, it was up and running again, but there are delays in the traffic, reports the Transport Administration.
