According to American police, the man planned to murder the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and other political leaders, writes CNN.
The man is said to have traveled to New York and collaborated with an assassin on a plan to carry out several attacks at the end of August or the beginning of September, according to the indictment.
According to prosecutors, the man was arrested on July 12 as he was preparing to leave the USA, shortly after meeting the alleged assassins who he believed would carry out the murders – but who were actually undercover police officers.
The prosecution authority says that the Pakistani man planned to leave the country before the murder, but was arrested before he could depart.
