Hungary's Prime Minister continues his self-proclaimed "peace mission".
On Thursday, he met Donald Trump.
On X, Viktor Orbán publishes a picture of himself and Donald Trump, beaming with big smiles and giving a thumbs up to the camera. "Peace mission 5.0", writes the Prime Minister.
Orbán's previous visits to Russia and Beijing, which took place as soon as Hungary took over the EU Council presidency, have been heavily criticized by EU leaders. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has said that Orbán is "hijacking the EU presidency".
Before that, he met Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj.
On Thursday, local time, Orbán flew on to Florida for another meeting, this time with Donald Trump, who appears to be the Republican presidential candidate in the American election in November.
"We discussed ways to achieve peace. Today's good news is: He will solve it!", writes Orbán on X.
