Since March 24 last year, Sweden has been a full-fledged NATO country. Membership has not changed public opinion since then. According to the DN/Ipsos survey, 62 percent say they are positive about Sweden's membership, while 19 percent are negative.
It has looked roughly like this over the past two years.
There is stable support for Swedish NATO membership, says Nicklas Källebring, opinion analyst at Ipsos, to DN.
Trust in the defense's ability has decreased slightly, but still remains at a historically high level.
In December, 34 percent had great confidence in the defense's ability to defend Sweden's borders. In March 2024, that figure was 38 percent.
The fact that voters have become somewhat more skeptical about the defense's ability may have to do with the uncertainty that Donald Trump spreads about the US's support for NATO, says Nicklas Källebring.
