A 65-year-old man has died in a boat accident on Lake Storsjön outside Sandviken. The alarm about the accident came at 9:30 on Sunday.

The small boat had capsized and the three men fell into the water. Two of them were able to get ashore on their own while the rescue service had to pick up the third.

He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but his life could not be saved.

The other two were hypothermic when we arrived at the scene, but I don't know if they were taken to the hospital, says the police's press spokesperson Stefan Larsson.

A report is being drawn up on the death without suspicion of crime.
