The suspect was arrested and detained on Tuesday morning. The operation went smoothly, according to Säpo.
The person is detained and the question of remand must be decided on by Friday at 12 o'clock at the latest, says responsible prosecutor Henrik Olin.
The suspected crimes are, according to documents from the Stockholm District Court, preparation for terrorist crimes, serious participation in a terrorist organization, preparation or attempt to murder, and preparation for serious crimes against the law on flammable and explosive goods.
According to the documents, the crime scene is "among other things, within Stockholm city".
Säpo's press spokesperson Karl Melin says that they cannot provide any information about when the crimes were committed or planned to be committed.
We have been working on this case for a longer period and then it was simply assessed that an operation was needed here and now, and then we carried out the operation, says Karl Melin.
The case concerns violent Islamist extremism, but has no connection to any other ongoing case, according to Säpo.
