Third place went to Latvian veteran Andrejs Rastorgujevs.
Sebastian Samuelsson was the best Swedish athlete, finishing sixth. With two misses on the shooting range and a fast skiing time, he was still quite satisfied.
It went well on the track, it was a good competition, and a sixth place is fantastic. That's where I should be, said Samuelsson to SVT after the race.
Four Misses
Martin Ponsiluoma skied as usual very fast, but with four misses, he was far from the top spots and finished 26th.
Four misses are a bit too many, but it still feels good in the shooting compared to what it has been before, said Ponsiluoma, who was tired in his legs during the last standing shooting.
I didn't feel good before the race, but it still went pretty well in the end. But I would have liked it to stop at one miss in the last shooting.
Taken Winner
The winner, 26-year-old Vebjørn Sørum, was clearly taken after the victory. It was the first time he managed to shoot full score in a World Cup race.
There are many emotions at a time like this when you've been fighting for a long time and finally manage to take that last step to the top, he said to SVT after the race.
Favourite Johannes Tingnes Bø had an unusually bad day on the shooting range with a total of five misses and after a disappointing skiing performance, he finished 85th, almost eight minutes behind his less merited countryman.
Big brother Bø, Tarjei by first name, was long in the fight for victory, but that opportunity disappeared when he missed his last two shots.
Viktor Brandt became the third-best Swedish athlete, finishing 33rd, Jesper Nelin 37th. The other Swedish athletes finished further back in the field, Emil Nykvist 80th and Malte Stefansson 81st.
