No, says the Norwegian oil fund to the "salary package" for Elon Musk in his capacity as CEO of Tesla. The oil fund is one of the larger shareholders who will take a stance on the package, which is reported to be worth approximately 590 billion kronor.
In a letter to the Norwegian newspaper E24, Carine Smith Ihenacho, the fund's chief for ownership and succession, formulates it as follows:
"We mean that the salary package is disproportionately high". Further, it says that "it has the wrong structure in relation to what is the goal of the payout."
The decision on whether there will be any money for Musk will be taken at Tesla's AGM on June 13. At that time, it will also be decided whether the company will move from Delaware to Texas. The oil fund intends to vote in favor of this decision.
