In the last 24 hours, five Ukrainian civilians have been killed in Russian attacks, reports The Kyiv Independent. Fatalities are reported from Kherson and Mykolaiv, both cities in southern Ukraine.
According to local authorities in Mykolaiv, the port city was attacked with Russian S-300 rockets. Several buildings, including a restaurant complex, have been damaged. Images show a market engulfed in heavy flames after the attack.
More than 30 civilians are reported to have been injured in various parts of Ukraine in the last 24 hours.
During the night towards Tuesday, Russia is said to have fired nine rockets and 17 drones against Ukraine. Twelve of the drones were shot down by air defense.
