Nicki Minaj suddenly cancelled her concert in Romania's capital Bucharest on Sunday due to security reasons.
On X, the American hip-hop star writes that she was advised not to perform due to security reasons since protests were planned in the area. However, she does not specify what kind of protests.
"I look forward to meeting you another time. But as a mother, I have to make decisions that ensure I get home to my son and that my colleagues get home to their families", she writes.
In late May, Minaj was arrested in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, suspected of attempting to smuggle light drugs out of the country. She was released later.
In June, she performed in Stockholm and was several hours late to the concert, which created frustration among many fans.
