Another sign of the crisis-stricken car industry can be seen in the form of new registrations of passenger cars, which fell by 6.1 percent in the EU area in September. This according to statistics from the European industry organization Acea.
The worst development is shown by France with a decline of 11.1 percent, followed by Italy, minus 10.7 percent.
The electric car market is growing simultaneously and accounted for 17.3 percent of the EU's total car market, compared to 14.8 percent the previous year.
