The police had come to the conclusion that the teacher had acted in self-defense in a situation that arose when he intervened as a student was harassing another student with a disability. The 16-year-old student then became aggressive towards the teacher and a fight broke out where the teacher held the student against a cabinet.
The student was later convicted of threatening a public official. However, the municipality believed that the teacher had acted disproportionately. He was suspended from his service and reported to the School Inspectorate.
Now the School Inspectorate has ruled that the municipality acted incorrectly and that the case should be closed, reports TV4 News.
I feel very relieved, says the teacher to TV4.
