At least six people are missing after a comprehensive rainstorm that caused landslides and flooding in the northeastern region of Noto in Japan.
One person has died after being swept away by water masses and another person who also disappeared in the water has not yet been found.
Rescue workers are also searching for four people who are missing after a landslide at a construction site in the coastal town of Wajima due to the heavy rain. At another location in the town, one person is being searched for after a flood.
Over the past three days, around 50 centimeters of rain have fallen in the region, which is still rebuilding after a powerful earthquake on January 1 this year that killed over 370 people and caused significant damage to infrastructure.
