The task comes from a local resistance organization on Tuesday, which says that over 30 people were injured in the attack on the Abu Shouk camp.

The Zamzam refugee camp is located near the city of al-Fashir, the regional capital of North Darfur. The area is the last one that the paramilitary force has not taken over in the Darfur region, and the RSF is attacking al-Fashir and its surroundings with continuous artillery fire.

The civil war is paralyzing large parts of the country, but with extra high intensity in the capital area of Khartum and in the Darfur region.

RSF is partly derived from the militia called Janjawid, which participated in the genocide in Darfur in a conflict that escalated in 2003 and several years onwards.

The ongoing conflict has triggered a humanitarian crisis and acute famine for large parts of the population.
