Mia Skäringer is back on TV4 in the autumn, in a new comedy series.
Her character Tabita runs a safe house for women.
Tattoo artist Tabita and hairdresser Gulletussan are popular figures that Mia Skäringer has consistently revisited throughout her career. In the autumn, they will appear again in the series "Tabita's tattoos and care" on TV4.
At Tabita's home, the door has always been open to friends, men and customers. But it costs, and that's when Tabita's daughter Cassandra (Lily Wahlsteen) comes up with the solution to start a safe house for women to make the finances add up.
In addition to Skäringer and Wahlsteen, the cast list includes names such as Gustaf Hammarsten, Sissela Benn, Linus Wahlgren, Hanna Ardéhn and Siw Malmkvist.
Much of the humour in the series revolves around how Tabita and her bodyguard Jeanett (Sanna Persson Halapi) struggle with bureaucracy and chase funds for the growing shelter.
Although it's a comedy series, there is seriousness at the bottom of it, given that it's about a shelter for protected women. Mia Skäringer has long been engaged in the fight against violence against women.
Mia Skäringer has made several TV series for TV4, including "Ack Värmland", and has also been in "Solsidan". She sees it as an extra bonus to showcase Tabita and her life on TV4.
