A man in his 40s has been shot in the foot in the Backa district on Hisingen in Gothenburg, according to the police.
The man has been taken to hospital in an ambulance.
The alarm was raised at 18:30 by several people who heard loud bangs.
According to GP, the police have launched an investigation into suspected attempted murder and gross firearms offenses.
The police assume that the shooting took place outdoors. The injured man was found in a stairwell.
Witnesses in the area have been interviewed and the police have been searching for the perpetrator, including with the help of a helicopter.
