A 65-year-old man has died in connection with a drowning accident in central Skellefteå. The alarm came in just after lunch on Wednesday.
A person has been seen in the water, who is no longer visible, and the rescue service initiates an operation that we assist with a drone, says Elisabeth Glaas, press spokesperson for the police.
Just after 2 pm, the rescue service found the man in the Skellefte River.
There is no suspicion of crime, says Elisabeth Glaas.
