Besides the two most seriously injured, two people received minor injuries from the axe used in the fight involving several people, according to sources to AFP.

All four injured are 16-17 years old.

The brawl broke out at 8 am, when the suburban train RER was at the station in Ozoir-la-Ferrière, a few miles southeast of Paris. Those involved in the brawl were reportedly on their way to their high school.

Initially, it is not clear what caused the fight, where, in addition to the axe, a knife, a samurai sword, and a baseball bat were used.

All the injured have been taken to hospital. None are critically injured, according to the reports.

A 16-year-old has been arrested and detained, according to sources. An axe was found and seized during a search of the premises.
