Indonesian rescue services report on Thursday morning that 31 people have been rescued after a ferry accident on the way to the tourist island of Bali.
At least four people have died and several are still missing.
The ferry was traveling in harsh weather off the island of Java and sank on Wednesday. A total of around 65 people were on the ship. The rescue efforts are being hindered by waves of up to two meters high in the area.
Boat accidents are not uncommon in the island nation with more than 17,000 islands, where ferries are a common means of transportation.
