The main character in the acclaimed Danish documentary series "The Black Swan" risks imprisonment. Next week, a trial will begin where lawyer Amira Smajic is charged with having falsified documents.

In the documentary, which is shown on SVT Play, the lawyer poses as a mole for investigative journalists on Danish TV2.

She herself has said that she did this as an attempt to break with her old life. With the help of hidden cameras, connections between Denmark's elite and the underworld are revealed.

Now she is charged with having drawn up a false employment contract that was submitted to the court to get a hairdressing business declared bankrupt. She is also alleged to have lied to a court official, according to the indictment. The prosecutor wants her to be sentenced to prison.

The lawyer is already suspected of crime in another case, which involves fraud and forgery. She denies the crime.
