Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba says that the country is ready to negotiate peace with Russia if Moscow is willing to engage in talks "in good faith."
Kuleba, who is visiting China, added that there is currently no "good faith" from the Russian side.
This is the first visit to China by a Ukrainian foreign minister since the Russian large-scale invasion of Ukraine. On Wednesday, Kuleba met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
I am convinced that it is in China's strategic interest to have peace in Ukraine, said Kuleba before the meeting.
China has not condemned the Russian invasion and called last year for a "political agreement" to end the war. According to many Western countries, such an agreement would lead to Russia being allowed to retain large parts of the areas the country has taken control of in Ukraine.
