The pedophile hunter site Dumpen is alleged to have offered men they confronted the opportunity to "buy their way out" of being exposed on the site. Following a police report from lawyers Thomas Bodström and Hanna Larsson Rampe, a preliminary investigation is now being initiated by the prosecutor, writes Aftonbladet.
That they immediately initiate a preliminary investigation is good, as it shows that they take it very seriously, says Bodström to the newspaper.
Bodström and Hanna Larsson Rampe, who represent several men, reported representatives of Dumpen and a collaborating company for unlawful coercion, extortion, and fraud. Prosecutor Sara Friedman is handling the case but does not want to comment on it since it is ongoing.
I cannot comment on when or if more information will be provided.
Representatives of Dumpen and the collaborating company have denied in interviews that they offered confronted men the opportunity to buy their way out.
