The murder took place when the 34-year-old tried to collect an alleged debt in Härryda, east of Gothenburg.
It was on Christmas Eve last year that the 34-year-old, together with another man, visited an acquaintance of the man in his 40s who is now convicted of the murder.
When the two men arrived at the house in Härryda municipality, allegedly equipped with a baseball bat, shots were fired and one of them hit the 34-year-old in the head.
I admit partially, it was an accident, the now convicted man has said in questioning.
The Gothenburg District Court also convicts him of gross desecration of a grave, after moving the body after the murder. But the court acquits him of the charge of attempted murder of the other man who was in the company of the murdered 34-year-old.
A man in his 45s is sentenced to three years in prison for gross desecration of a grave. He has admitted to moving the body, but has claimed that he acted in distress.
A third man, in his 65s, was also charged with helping to get rid of the body. He is acquitted of aiding gross desecration of a grave but is sentenced to 1 year in prison for gross protection of a criminal. He is said, according to the verdict, to have tried to clean up the place where the victim was shot.
