The incident took place in Malmö in the spring, when the woman was caught by her boyfriend when she had sex with a man in his 40s in the toilet.
The boyfriend knocked the other man unconscious, left the scene and then kept himself hidden for 1.5 days. The woman stayed and called the police.
The man in his 40s initially lied in the interrogation about being alone in the toilet when he was attacked because he did not want his wife to find out about the infidelity, he explained later. The woman lied and said that she had left the pub when the assault took place.
When the police finally found the boyfriend, the woman reported the other man for rape. But the woman's searches on the internet and the SMS history between her and the boyfriend revealed, according to the verdict, that it was fabricated.
The boyfriend is sentenced to six months in prison for assault. Both are convicted despite their denial.
Both the woman and the man must also pay damages totaling 76,400 kronor to the man who was accused of rape.
