Inflation in Norway and Denmark is moving in different directions. While inflation is decreasing in Denmark, Norway is experiencing an increase.
Danish inflation stood at 1.4 percent in January according to the EU-harmonized measure, which can be compared to 1.8 percent the previous month.
At the same time, inflation in Norway stood at 2.3 percent during the same month. This can be compared to 2.2 percent the previous month and the 2.2 percent that analysts according to Bloomberg had forecast for January.
While Denmark is experiencing a price drop in, among other things, clothing and vehicles, Norwegian consumers, on the other hand, have experienced higher food prices during the period.
