Two parents are being prosecuted for aggravated assault against their infant, something that P4 Väst was the first to report on. According to Bohusläningen, the child was admitted to Norra Älvsborgs hospital in the autumn of 2023 with a broken thigh bone. Subsequent examinations revealed several older fractures throughout the child's body.

How the fractures occurred has not been established in the investigation. However, the parents are being prosecuted for not seeking medical attention promptly when the child was injured and in pain. The prosecutor believes that the parents "have shown particular callousness and brutality by failing to seek medical attention in a reasonable time", writes Bohusläningen.

The parents deny any wrongdoing.
