The new NFL season has just begun, and already history has been written.
Just hours before the Dallas Cowboys are to play their premiere match against the Cleveland Browns, the team's quarterback, Dak Prescott, has been rewarded with a new monster contract, making him the highest-paid player in the entire league.
The contract is written over four years and is worth a total of 240 million dollars, equivalent to approximately 2.5 billion kronor. Thus, each season is worth 60 million dollars, which is the highest average ever in the NFL, and the 31-year-old is making history.
Prescott finished second in the voting for the league's MVP (most valuable player) last season and begins his ninth season with the club on Sunday evening.
