Today, the high-cost protection kicks in, with a discounted price, after having spent 1,425 kronor on prescription medications. After 2,850 kronor per year, the high-cost protection covers the entire cost.
The first discount limit could be raised to around 2,000 kronor, but the exact details on how much and which amount limits will be raised are not clear yet. It is clear that the changes will come into effect on July 1 next year.
