Vapstens sameby appealed in early July the Land and Environment Court's decision that gives the company Lappland gold prospecting access to the area in the company's project Stortjärnhobben for processing.
Now, the Land and Environment Court of Appeal announces that Vapstens sameby's application has been rejected, writes Lappland gold prospecting in a press release.
This means that the company can continue its gold prospecting in the current area.
"This is an important message that gives us stability and peace of work. We have great respect for all parties involved and that applicable laws and rules are complied with. At the same time, we are pleased that our project can continue according to plan, to the benefit of both our investors and future employment in the region”, comments the company's CEO, Fredrik Johansson in the press release.
Lappland Gold Prospecting AB is a Swedish gold prospecting company with operations in northern Sweden. The company's share is traded on Spotlight Stock Market in Stockholm since October 2024.
