The food company Axfood, which among other things operates the retail chains Willys and Hemköp, made an operating result of 934 million kronor during the second quarter of the year. This can be compared to 836 million kronor during the corresponding quarter a year earlier.
Net sales increased by 9.3 percent to 22.9 billion kronor.
"It is clear that more and more consumers choose to shop with us. During the second quarter, Axfood grew significantly more than the market, mainly driven by Willys with the business idea of Sweden's cheapest food basket", says Axfood's CEO and Group CEO Simone Margulies, in a press release.
