The leading stock exchanges in Asia have to a large extent begun Friday with rising prices.

However, Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index breaks the trend with a decline of 0.1 percent at lunchtime. The broader Topix index instead rises 0.7 percent.

In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index climbs 1.7 percent.

The composite indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen increase 0.8 and 0.3 percent, respectively.

The green figures follow that both S&P 500 and Nasdaq on Wall Street closed at record levels during Thursday.
