Sprinter Julia Henriksson's fine form continues even after the Olympic Games. In Sollentuna, the 24-year-old had a fantastic race on 200 meters during Saturday's final in the team Swedish Championship.
So good that she beat her Swedish record by a tenth. The new record time is 22.69.
"There were very good winds today, both on the home stretch and in the curve, so I got going and wanted to get a good time and take the record today," says Henriksson in a press release.
Henriksson's previous Swedish record, 22.79, was set during the trials at the Olympic Games in Paris, in front of a large audience at the Stade de France.
Before that, she had tied Linda Haglund's 45-year-old Swedish record (22.82) on 200 meters at the European Championship in Rome in June.
