A report-intensive morning left its mark with a couple of powerful rate reactions among reporting companies.
On the OMXS30 list, Handelsbanken rose 1.6 percent after this morning's year-end report, where they announced, among other things, an increased dividend to shareholders.
In the opposite direction, industrial company Alfa Laval fell 2.9 percent and thus became the worst performer among all 30 stocks on the OMXS30 list.
Two clear winners emerged in the form of car chain Bilia and cash handling company Loomis. The two companies surged 13.9 and 12.5 percent, respectively.
It was all the more difficult for gardening company Husqvarna, which announced on Tuesday evening that it is selling its factory in Orangeburg, USA. The stock fell 6.3 percent.
Crisis-hit credit management company Intrum, on the other hand, rose sharply, with the stock ending up 5.6 percent after it emerged that the Norwegian oil fund had entered the company and is now one of the largest shareholders.
At the same time, the Swedish krona continues to strengthen against the US dollar on the currency market. One dollar now costs 10.88 kronor, which can be compared to a year-high of 11.25 just under a month ago.
At the close in Stockholm, the major European stock exchanges in Frankfurt, London, and Paris were up, while two of the three major indexes on Wall Street in New York were down.
