The American search engine company Google has lost against the American state in a case where they are accused of monopoly.

After examining large amounts of evidence, including testimony from top executives at Google, Microsoft, and Apple, it is deemed clear that Google is to have exploited its dominance to stop competition. It is believed they did this, among other things, by paying to make their search engine the standard on smartphone web browsers.

Google is pointed out in the verdict as a "technical bully" that methodically worked against competition to protect its search engine, which generated nearly 240 billion dollars in revenue last year.

Google is expected to appeal the decision and the case is believed to end up in the US Supreme Court.
