In a picture in Aftonbladet, they can be seen laughing and hugging each other.

It's always fun to meet Erik Karlsson. He's a nice person, says Garpenlöv, now an expert commentator for Radiosporten, to the newspaper.

However, he stands by his statement in November, that Karlsson didn't deserve a spot in the Four Nations due to his defensive shortcomings.

But I don't think he's a worthless hockey player. Erik had a good first game and played with margins.

Erik Karlsson responded to Garpenlöv's statement in November, saying it was "a bit unnecessary".

But that's his problem. It's probably good that he doesn't have anything to say about it anymore, he said then to Aftonbladet.

Now he tells the newspaper that he "has been around long enough to buy" the criticism from the former national team captain.

I've been on both sides, when it's gone well and not so well. It can swing quickly and it's not something that gets to me. I focus on what I can do and what I can't, you just have to laugh at it.
