The police are investigating a suspected aggravated rape against a teenage girl in Gårdsten in Gothenburg late on Friday evening. The girl is under 18 years old and is being treated at a hospital for injuries that "are not life-threatening", according to the police.
Four young men were arrested during the night and detained in the morning suspected of aggravated rape.
One of them is under 18 years old. They are detained on probable cause, says Moa Hörnquist at the Prosecutor's Office press service.
In the case, there are additional criminal suspicions where another young woman is the plaintiff, but it does not involve any sexual offense, according to Hörnquist.
According to information provided to Aftonbladet, the incident took place at a party. A residence where the crime is believed to have occurred was cordoned off for technical examination.
There will be further questioning today where the four detainees have their defenders with them, says Moa Hörnquist.
