Three Crowns' former national team captain Johan Garpenlöv, 56, becomes the new hockey expert in Radiosporten.
I can contribute with my journey as both a player and a coach. I believe that there are many things that I can tell from that perspective that listeners can become interested in, says Garpenlöv to the channel.
As a player, he won several Swedish Championship gold medals and World Championship gold medals and played 10 seasons in the NHL. After his active career, he was an assistant national team captain for Three Crowns and won World Championship gold medals in 2017 and 2018.
He took over the main responsibility the following year, but during Garpenlöv's three years as national team captain, there were no medals. His latest assignment was in the Hockeyallsvenskan team Djurgården, where he was fired last autumn after a weak start to the season.
