A SJ train was stopped in Tullinge south of Stockholm on Wednesday evening after the locomotive driver discovered flames, which Expressen was the first to report on.
It was a smaller fire in the wheels of the train. When we arrived, it was not burning, but there was just a little smoke, says Andreas Blomquist, officer in charge at Södertörn's fire defense association, to TT.
A hundred passengers had to be evacuated. No one was injured. Traffic was completely stopped in both directions, but by 21:30, it was up and running again.
The new trains are rolling into place and almost everyone has left from there, says Andreas Blomquist.
