Two men have been injured after falling into a hole at a roadwork site in Helsingborg. The site is suspected to have been inadequately cordoned off and the police have launched an investigation, reports HD/Sydsvenskan.
Two younger men were on their way home and did not notice the hole, says Ulf Flink, duty investigation officer at the police, to the newspaper.
Both men were taken to hospital by ambulance during the night to Sunday and one of them is reported to be seriously injured.
The contractor responsible for the roadwork is suspected of two counts of gross negligence leading to bodily harm.
