Slow start but then it went well for Erik Erlandsson. He was the first to cross the finish line in the 200 meter repechage and is clear for the Olympic Games semifinal in Paris.

It was crazy to be the first to cross the finish line on the stadium. I felt like a king in there, he says.

The 20-year-old has had a season filled with personal bests and at Stade de France came the next, 20,49.

I'm incredibly pleased with the season and I say the same as in Rome: If the season had ended now, I would have been extremely pleased.

Erlandsson, who became fourth in the European Championship in Rome, says that the race was good but that there are details to polish.

Especially the start, where the Swede felt that he almost went off in the beginning of the race.

If I put everything together, there are probably a few hundredths left.
