The 39-year-old sharpshooter had given up on his SHL dream when he was recruited by Skellefteå from Södertälje last summer.

Now he has scored goals in four different divisions in Swedish ice hockey:

3 goals in Division 2, 212 full hits in Hockey One and 131 in the Allsvenskan.

And one in SHL.

Eriksson parked in front of the goal and got young back talent Axel Sandin-Pellikka's shot on him before it bounced into the goal.

I had missed two chances before, so it's good that someone shoots at me and in, so it becomes a goal, he says to TV4 Play.

Eriksson's first goal came in his fourth match in SHL.

I'm getting more and more into it with each match, becoming more comfortable and taking more initiative. Hopefully, we can build on that, says the former Vita Hästen player.

Örebro also had a premiere goal scorer in SHL, 21-year-younger Melvin Fernström, 18 years old.

He equalized to 1–1 in the third period.

But the championship team from Västerbotten struck back. Pontus Johansson and Andreas Johnson saw to it that Skellefteå took their third straight win after the opening loss to Malmö.

Örebro reduced through Robin Norell before Rickard Hugg set the final score at 4–2 in an empty net.

Timrå shut out Rögle at home, winning 4–0 and taking their first three-pointer of the season.

Jonathan Dahlén scored his first goal and also made an assist.
