The trend is broken, according to the Swedish Enterprise's economic forecast, where, among other things, the employer organization has asked its member companies. From a slowly more positive view of the economy, the upswing has now subsided.
"The companies' decreased confidence in the future is alarming. They are affected by the low-conjuncture and the increasing uncertainty in the world around them", says the employer organization's chief economist Sven-Olov Daunfeldt in a written comment.
In this situation, wage development becomes crucial, according to Swedish Enterprise, which naturally wants to curb employees' expectations.
"It is crucial that we have a responsible collective bargaining process and that companies' competitiveness is protected in this challenging situation", says Daunfeldt.
