On Monday, an accident occurred at Rättvikstravet. Driver Peter Eriksson was thrown out of the sulky after a horse broke loose, and was then flown to a hospital in Dalarna by ambulance helicopter.
Afterwards, his brother, Ulf Eriksson, reported that he was able to talk but would be transferred to a hospital in Uppsala for surgery.
Now, Ulf Eriksson says that the situation with the driver remains unclear.
He is still being kept sedated after the operation, says Eriksson to Expressen.
Peter Eriksson is a trainer at Bollnästravet on a daily basis, where the mood is anxious following the news, according to track manager Stefan Samuelsson.
It's clear that it's terrible and tragic when harness racing is affected by an accident. It feels extra hard for us when it's a trainer in Bollnäs who is also a member of our board, says Samuelsson to Expressen.
